Pool out of balance! Pool party this weekend!

The good thing is that once you satisfy all three prongs and can let the FC fall back down to normal range (ie, stop maintaining shock level) you will have a truly trouble free pool and will unlikely find yourself having to go through this (at least to this extent) in the future. Well worth the learning curve - just stick with it!

Ok looks like I got it. These are my readings since yesterday morning and not a change to anything but PH and TA.
FC - 10.5
CC - .5
TC - 11
TA - 170
PH - 7.2
CL - 5 Don't bother with the OTO test while shocking. It does, however, read/test to 5ppm and is a bullet proof test for the presence of chlorine.
BR - 10 Ignore the BR on the OTO test. This is only for bromine pools.
CYA - 30
Okay, good! If you meet the three criteria, you are done shocking :goodjob:
