When testing the ph and using the pool math app, does the app compensate the ph for the water temp when calculating the CSI? I use a temperature compensating ph meter and am wondering if temp is being compensated for twice?
If you are having the pool math app track the temperature then the temperature is part of calculating the CSI. To test this, go into your logs and tap/ click on one of the test results logs. When the individual results come up go to the temperature section and change the temperature. You should see the CSI number change as well
The two temperature compensations are entirely unrelated. The probe needs to compensate for temperature to get the correct pH value and the use of water temperature in the CSI calculation is part of the mathematical formulae. The two are unrelated.
