I was playing with Effects of Adding
I suspect the "6%" Bleach I'm using isn't really 6%, it states 6% on the box of 6, and on each bottle, the date is good, less than month old.
But anyway, back to my question...
When you use ANY % of chlorine less than 6%, in with amount set at 1 Gallon, it shows Effects: Raise FC BY 4.3 ppm
Using 6% shows Effects: Raise FC BY 4.9 ppm
Using higher %, it seems to work.
Why doesn't the app work with anything less than 6%??
Unfortunately there are bleaches that have less than 6% chlorine now, some as little as 2-3%
This is also a good way to 'back into' what % chlorine your bleach really is.
If 1 Gallon only raises FC by 2.5ppm when it should raise it by 5ppm, then it is 1/2 strength.
I did finally figure out that the 6% bleach I have is only around 3%, a gallon only raised my FC by 2.5 ppm instead of 4.9%
Another Question:
Why isn't the pool size calculator in the App like it was on the web page?
Thanks
