Pool Management: What Next?

any idea why the calibration went way off. It used to show correctly. I don't know when it suddenly went off. Should I be inspecting the cell to see if there are too much deposit? how often should a cell be cleaned? its been about 2 - 2.5 months since I last cleaned and been running at 75% for the last 2 months.

If the water chemistry is properly managed, the cell should never need cleaning. And if it is cleaned with acid, you are reducing the life of the cell.

Ok good to know. What can cause erratic reading? My pH has been going high often due to the amount of organic matter that goes plus with the swg. My water has never been better since I got my swg back and at 75%. No algae and crystal clear. Infact I didn't know my pool can have the bluish look it does. I always assume my concrete surface makes it a looks a tinge of greenish blue...

I will probably inspect it just to see though..

No idea on your erratic reading. But general water chemistry, specifically keeping CSI between 0 and -0.3, will keep your SWCG from scaling.
The SWCG does not appreciably effect the pH of the pool water.

Look around on the site and you can find it’s a common question. My salinity reading isn’t accurate and I suspect the same kind of sensor is in all of the devices. Maybe similar to the low cost pH meters always needing to be recalibrated.
