Pool liner localized wrinkles

I have a brand new 27 ft round pool installed 2 months ago. I just returned from vacation to find wrinkles in a localized part of my pool about 2ft x 2 ft. My floating chlorine holder was sitting on the bottom and I am unsure how long as it was floating when I left. I have had a pool for over 6 yrs and this is the first time I ever encountered this. Is this new pool liner ruined? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey Tlbr and Welcome !!!!

Pucks contain Cyanuric Acid and acid lowers Ph. Very low Ph wrecks vinyl liners with finger print like wrinkles. It's not nearly as bad as it could have been because you caught it early and it was localized to one area. Usually we see it in the spring and it's the whole pool and it's got 52 bazillion wrinkles from sitting low all winter.

thank you very much for your help. I am taking a water sample to have it analyzed tomorrow.

The sun comes out everyday, even if it's behind the clouds. With experience you can fudge it on the inbetween days, but pools need daily care and you need to be able to test at home on the fly. Let's ignore the pool store inaccuracies at the moment. The pool store simply won't test you 'for free' when you ignore their sales pitch repeatedly. Once or twice this week, sure. But what about the rest of the season?
