Pool light won't stay put

Hi everyone.

Been following this page for a while for some excellent tips on having a pool.
I have a summerhouse in Denmark, that has an old inground pool. Last year the
pool light went out, so I replaced the bulb. The problem is that I cannot for the life of me put
the light back in the niche.
It is some sort of friction based light, with no screw holes in the face plate and no brackets in the niche.
Seeing that I'm not in the summerhouse now, I've attached the best photo I could find.

Can anyone help identifying the light and help me installing the light in the niche?

What is the voltage of that light? It looks as if someone tried to seal a leak at the cord inlet to the fixture. That virtually never works as the light expands and contracts too much when on then off. It can be dangerous and should be replaced. A picture of the front of the light would better help identifying the make. Then again, a light available in a Scandinavian/European country may not be familiar to those "over here."

It's a 12V light, so I'm not that nervous about the fix that the former owner did on the cord inlet.
But it's obvious that the light should be replaced soon. Seeing that I just spent money in a new 300W bulb, I',m gonna wait until next year for a LED replacement.
Also I'm unsure which replacement light to get that fits the bracketless niche.

Here's a photo of the front of the light. The pool was installed around 2000.

Was the fixture turned a bit to remove? Possibly a "bayonet" style locking method?
