I have air bubbles coming from my jets and it seems my pump is sucking air. It only does this when the valve is set to skimmer only. I think I have a leak in the skimmer or skimmer plumbing. I have not noticed any water near any of the plumbing. What else can I check?

And the weir gate isn’t stuck? Can you post pics of the equipment and the bubbles coming out of spa?
It could be a simple diverter valve leak You can find with garden hose
Or you can use shaving cream or I like to use a plumbers bladder, I turn the pump off and run the bladder in the intake port at the skimmer, usually any intake leaks will expose themselves.(make sure the valves are open, having any dead ends could cause damage to equipment)

You can use any of the methods above to help isolate the problem. I would suspect the flex joints and the jandy valve orings. I never use flex only rigid if I get a chance to replace it I would.
It only bubbles when the jandy valve is only set to skimmer, so I suspect the problem is somewhere on the suction side on the skimmer line. I will check the jandy valve.
Check the coupler and 90 where the flex connects. Sometimes the two smaller orings on the diverter valve can become pinched or worn allowing air in only when the diverter valve is turned a certain way.
It is now blowing bubbles no matter what the diverter is set to. The pump also will no longer hold prime. What can I check?
Jandy valve looked fine, lid oring was replaced recently. Even with the skimmer and floor drain turned off at the shutoff valve, the pool leaked about an inch and a half overnight.
It may be worth it to get a leak detector out if you suspect under ground leaking.
