Pool is cloudy after SLAM

Hello, I'm hoping someone on here can help.

I have followed this site for several years and had success in turning a green swamp into a crystal clear pool with bleach, but we are having some trouble this year. We have gone through the SLAM process and passed the overnight test of maintaining FC level. Our CC is also at 0, so we have passed this test as well. The water still has a milky white, cloudy appearance though, and this is a good week after we passed the first two tests.

Any ideas as to what we should test and try in effort to get our water to become clear?

Welcome to TFP!!:handwave:

This is going ot seem like a lot, but here goes.

First, post a full set of test results

FC
pH
TA
CH
CYA

List any/everything you have added to the pool, be specific on the chemicals.

Please edit your signature and add the following information so we can better frame our answers to you.

 • List what test kit you use to test your water
 • The size of your pool in gallons
 • If your pool is an AG (above ground) or IG (in ground)
 • If it's IG, tell us if it's vinyl, plaster/pebble, or fiberglass
 • The type filter you have (sand, DE, cartridge)
 • If you know, tell us the make and model of your pump and filter.
 • List any other equipment you have: SWG, second pump, etc.
 • Please mention if you fill the pool from a well or are currently on water restrictions

Information in your signature will show up each time you post and it makes advice more accurate as we know what equipment we are dealing with.

Additionally, can you update your profile and add a state, unless of course you are living in the 18 acres in the center of Washington, DC....

Here you go. We've only added 6.0% or 8.25% bleach and Natural Chemistry 07401 Instant Pool Water Conditioner 1 Gallon (liquid CYA). The liquid CYA was added 2 weeks ago today. Let me know if there is other information which would be helpful.
