Pool heating very slow

I have a Lars lite 2 to hear my pool at the Pete’s port the water is 20 to 30 degrees hotter than the water in the pool. Yet the water coming to the pool is only 5 degree warmer. I thought the water should be at least 20° warmer running into the pool. Any ideas?

Water in the manifold (Pete's plug) then mixes with the water that has bypassed the heat exchanger. Imagine a spa with water at 100 already and the water at the returns/jets at 120-130. Not a good thing.
