Hey guy i had an issue with my pool heater today for some reason it stopped working. it is a hayward 500K btu heater. i also have a heat pump for cooling. it was starting to get hot so it tried using the heat pump to see how it would work but it never cut on. they said that your heater had to start then it would switch to the heat pump. after it failed to turn on that is both heater and heat pump and stopped all commands and just tried my heater and run it on my spa. Well no luck there the heater won't turn on now and we just had it on last night. I did turn on my bubblers and then tried all of this and looking online they said low flow would prevent both heater and heat pump from turning on. I don't turn them on often, so I shut the bubblers off to make sure I had maximum flow. I even cleaned my filters as it was time. That did not work so I shut the entire system down as well as my omni logic controller to reboot to make sure I hadn't caused an issue. After reboot no joy. The igniter on the heater is not working as I can tell. Took the front plate off the heater and looked through the peep hole and nothing. Not sure if that is an automatic thing or if you should even see anything. Anyt recommendations would be appreciated.

You have the OmniLogic or OmniPL system?

Does the control panel on the Omni show your heater or HP running?

Update... Controller was fine. Heater was in bypass operation to work with the controller. I had an LO code on my heater and when I cleared it I let it on the power selection and not the pool or spa selection which prevented the heater from talking to the controller. My heat pump was also not in BO mode, so it was not talking to the controller either.
