Pool heater acting funny will not shut off or respond to any commands

Is the new board a genuine Pentair board?

Did you connect the 10K resistor to it and see what it reads?

. However when I did jump my wires with my 10K resistor I did get a reading of 76.

Reading 76 with the resistor is good.

How did you connect the resistor for the test?

It now point back to a bad thermistor.

Okay so I decided to pull the temp probe out and take a look at it it seemed a little gummy a little grimed up but not all that bad I went ahead and cleaned it off and sanded the Connectors of any crime that might have been on him however upon installing it I'm still getting the same thing.

So I'm not sure if it's even a valid test. But I did pull off the wires off my temp probe and set my multi meter to ohms and just placed the multimeter on the tabs and my reading of ohms was all over the place. 6.5 to 6.9 it was bouncing all over the place. I'm gonna order a new probe on Amazon, it's cheap and I can at least somewhat eliminate the probe out.

Thanks for all your help.
I connected it the same way, the male portion of the connector with wire with the resistor in between the alligator clips.

It is a bad sensor.

Was that a genuine Pentair part or are you buying cheap sensors on Amazon?

Amazon to see if that fixes my problem if I can at least get a stable reading I feel like I can move forward with that. Do you find a big difference between Amazon parts and OEM

The quality control on cheap Chinese parts from Amazon is unpredictable. And it may very batch to batch from the same vendor.

Pentair has shipped some bad parts also but are overall more reliable.

Uggg... OK I got the new temp sensor in and I replaced it it's about 1 degree off but it's stable.

However now my air flow sensor is acting up it will work for about half an hour and then I'll get a service light come on, with the afs light on the back of the board. If I shut it off and leave it for 10 to15 minutes it will then start back up and start warming again until it triggers the light to come on again. The sensor is new. I've replaced all the hoses for the flow sensor. I feel like the motor is producing enough air flow that it should trigger it, but I'm not 100% sure, there's no way to test that. If I brought some equipment from work maybe I could look at the what is the volume or feet per minute or whatever they calculate the Airflow In.
