Pool Enclosure

We are researching t getting a pool enclosure instead of building an addition onto our house for our indoor pool. We are looking at different companies including Roll A Cover & Covers in Play. Does anyone have one of these? Any thoughts or recommendations? We are looking a a lean to instead of rolling sections.

Hi ppiercenm...would love to hear more about your project. Sounds very interesting. Can you show some pictures of your yard/future enclosed area? Maybe a picture of the look that you are trying to achieve?

We have a full screened in enclosure and love it. We use the pool year-round and are totally bug-free any time of day. Here are a couple of considerations:
  • If you have a patio or part of the house adjoining try to have the enclosure installed so you can go to the pool a.nd/or patio area. This makes it nice to be able to get out of the pool, enjoy beverages and/or meals also.
  • The best screen material will need to be replaced every 7-10 years in our sun. Your's may be worse.
  • Think about the density of weave in the screen. You can shade out a lot or just a little light and the smaller weave also screens out the tiniest "no-seeums". This also blocks some of the breeze
  • We got small weave and have fans in the patio. Best of both worlds for us. All personal preference though.
  • 'Our screen required a 16"x12" concrete beam and hurricane wind rating to meet the Fl building code. Very expensive but we've already survived 85 mph sustained winds in one storm with no damage at all.
I hope this helps.
