Pool deck

I want to paint my pool deck which is two tone acrylic. What type paint should I use. What do I use to mask the color so one doesn't bleed to the next.

Pictures are worth a thousand words, just shooting from the hip as outdoor paint is not my forte' as much as indoor, I would look into using Kilz primer to cover what you have then paint over that with what you wish, check with your local sherwin williams paint store, DO NOT consult the local big box stores.

Second the vote on Sherwin Williams, my PB used it last year, holds up fine, have power washed deck couple times, still looking good. Not sure about masking the rough surface, I think the paint used was a thicker viscosity so it didn't flow under the mask line, but not positive.

Plain paint can be very hot. But if you use (if ads and reviewers are to believed) of cooling products like bmoreswim linked to, it will look nice and cool it down. My pool was installed this summer and the deck can get very hot, and I will water it before company comes over. Hope to use something like the encore coating when spring rolls around.

If your deck is acrylic coated concrete, it's best to use acrylic top coat rather than just a paint. I have recoated mine twice, using the top coat product that was originally used. You can change colors if you want, but it's a lot more durable than paint and it not only won't peel, but it seals the coating under it and prevents water from getting under and peeling the whole coating system.

I am sure you can find a supplier in your area. Suppliers here in AZ include: Xcel surfaces ( Xcel Surfaces Top Coat ) Preferred Deck Systems ( Pref Deck | An acrylic deck coating manufacturer )
