I was watching video's of my son in the pool and the amount of movement the walls had and was starting to think that the hard plumbing all the way might not be the perfect solution. What I came up with was what if I used a 1.5" pool cuff allowing me to put a little flexibility to the connections? Can a 1.5 inch pool cuff fit and be glued into a 1.5" piece of PVC? Can the cuff handle the pressure from the pump?

I've seen how much my 18' round intex pool flexes when the grandkids jump around, and I'm pretty confident that the length of pipe (which is rigid sch-40) will allow for the amount of flexion of the pool sides.

I don't know what a pool cuff is, but another option, if you're worried, is flex pvc instead of rigid.
