Pool Cover question

Hello everyone. We have moved into a new home and the fall leaves are killing me with the pool. I’m considering a cover, but we have a hot tub with spill over that I’d like to keep available for use. Is it possible to add a pool cover to the pool while not closing down the pool (the pool and hot tub are essentially one body of water).
