I bought a new eater last year and asked around here. My old Hayward was a good runner, but I'm told there's a bit more with the new ones that can go wrong. Several people recommended Raypak as they're also easier to fix. Got a great deal on mine at Swimming Pool Supplies - Pool Parts - INYOPools.com.
