Pool bonding questions

We just purchased a 24’ above ground pool, and I’ve been reading about bonding the pool and the water. Can someone explain the water bonding part to me. I understand the pool bonding instructions, but don’t quite get the water bonding.
Thanks in advance.

1)Water bonding is done by putting a non corrosive piece of metal with a surface area of 9 square inches or greater into contact with the water in the pool.

2)The metal should be installed in a spot where it can't be easily isolated from the pool water by water by way of valves of removal of plumbing (this means heater and pumps can't be used for bonding purposes even though they meet the requirements of step 1)

So for an AGP this basically means the bonding fitting needs to be attached to the skimmer or return fitting. There are two devices that make life easy and are easy to install. They are the Burndy fitting, and the Permacast fitting. Its your choice they both work well. I like the threaded fitting in the plumbing, others like the metal in the skimmer.

Since both the above posters pointed to the same fittings, I'll just say that I like the Permacast threaded insert fitting more than the skimmer plate, but they both meet the requirement.

Just heed what Chuck said about there not being any valves between it and the pool.
