I have the new "Li" version, I like it and it's working fine in my plaster salt pool. The vacuum head comes with wheels and little brushes that you can pop in/out. I don't know anything about vinyl pools but I would guess the brushes are for that application. The brushes were causing head to drag on my plaster finish so I popped them out and only use the wheels.
When I'm done using my pool blaster I submerge it in a tub of fresh water and turn it on a minute to run, probably not necessary but makes me feel better since I'm using it in a salt pool. I do the same thing for my Dolphin S300i robot (soak it in a tub of fresh water a bit but don't turn it on). Probably a remnant from my SCUBA diving days where I'd soak my buoyancy compensator (BC) and regulator in fresh water after each use to rinse any salt away and make it last longer
