Pool automation upgrade suggestion

We have been very fortunate with our Polaris Sol command center but it's now no longer working. The circuit board was replaced 8 years ago after a power surge, but it was about 4 years old at the time and hard to find then. I know we need to replace but would like to upgrade rather than start new, say with EasyTouch. We won't be in the house much longer and don't, really can't, spend $4K on a new system. Any ideas?

It looks like Jandy bought Polaris and has a conversion kit to change it to an Aqualink system. See,,,

You would need this:

IQ-POL-RSPS8​

Not inexpensive but less than a completely new system. Relatively easy to install. Generally not available online as Jandy has done their best to eliminate online sales of equipment.
