Pool after a thunderstorm

After more than a week, the water got a lot better. However, its cloudy. Here is the reading:

FC : 7
ph : 7.2
TA : 160
CYA : 55

The TA is bit high and could be the cause of cloudiness/murkiness. How do I reduce the TA without lowering pH?

In Phoenix?? Cal Hypo should be outlawed. The CH of your pool water is most likely all ready quite high. Adding more calcium is not a good idea.

What is your CH?

OK -- you do not show that in your signature ----

Add it if you wish. I would not every buy any of it. If you need calcium in your pool water, bypass the softener for a week or so.

Wanted to close the loop on this.

After using the SLAM process, the cloudiness did not go.

I ended up cleaning my filters and that was the trick. The pool was back to what it was.

Not really sure if the gauge on the filter is providing accurate reading.

Thanks for all your help

Glad to hear it. A lot of folks here recommend the fluid filled pressure gauges. They can be picked up from the TFP store and they are priced very reasonably.
