I have pollen floating all over the top of my pool. Have never seen it like this before. I am reading on here to use a skimmer sock, but skeptical that that will work because the pollen seems to just be sitting and not going into the filter. We just cleaned the cartridges, and it seems to be working fine otherwise. Any tips? I don't mind just waiting it out, but we have people coming to swim for Mother's Day. Is it okay to swim with all the pollen floating there?

You need a pool pole with a leaf bag. If you add a little bit of cheese cloth or poly fill to the leaf rake you can manually remove all the pollen. The trick is to move very slowly and skim the surface whine trying to avoid mixing the water.

Skimmer socks do work. Also paint strainers too. I rinsed off a fully covered in pollen paint strainer sock yesterday. Nice knowing it isn't in the filter, but do check it daily. It can clog.
