I'm in the market for a new vacuum head, manual pole style. My pool builder left me with a Hayward SP1068

The brushes are falling apart after 1.5 years. Replacemant brush set is $20, or the entire thing is $50. The reviews on amazon for both repeat what I found, short brush life. Is this normal, or are there better parts out there?

I don't know what brand mine is, bought from the local Ace hardware, two years ago. Still almost like new, no apparent wear on the brushes. But then, I have less than 1/5 the pool you do. I do have an airborne dust problem, being in farm country. I have to vacuum twice a week just to stay ahead of it.
