Polaris VRX iq+ question

Hello all,

I purchased Polaris VRX IQ+ today from Leslie’s as Polaris days sale is ongoing currently in my area. I unboxed it and tried the smart cycle. It’s an impressive unit. Throughly impressed with its cleaning ability, wall, waterline cleaning. I think I found the robot I need but we will see how long it lasts.

However, I have the below question. I see a rectangular styrofoam kind of thing when you open the lid of the robot. See attached picture. Do you all know if I need to keep it or throw it away? It’s pretty tight to pull out. And what is the purpose of it?

No. I was hesitant to go to Leslie’s as I felt they are not reliable source of information. I called Polaris the agent said he never heard of that thing but said will call me back once he talk to his technical team.

I left it in place on mine. Kinda seemed like it was supposed to be there, but I don't know exactly what it does. Possibly something with stability and keeping it upright.

Interesting that it might keep it upright. Mine is having a problem staying upright and climbing walls.
