Polaris PB4SQ leaking

Thought to have survived North Texas freeze. Only had rolling blackouts. Now, in late July, 5 months after freeze, have noticed water leaking out of Polaris booster. Seems to be cracks around faceplate on wet end. Wondering if it was a latent failure from freeze or if ground movement has caused it. I’ve noticed that installer didn’t use the supplied flex. Instead it is hard plumbed. Is it freeze related or could there be enough stress/strain from the ground movement we have in North Texas? Just wondering if I should change plumbing when replacing front plate. Thoughts?
Pump is bolted to cement pad.

Welcome to TFP.

My guess is your cracks are freeze related. Hard plumbing the booster pump is fine. The flex line works equally well and provides for an easier more flexible installation.
