Polaris gets stuck nose down

Can I solicit some ideas on why my Polaris 280 gets stuck?

He runs for a while then ends up nose down and won't move.

One wheel fell off and I replaced the clip/axle piece and put 3 new "tires" on him. This behavior doesn't seem related but it didn't occur before the repair.

Thanks!

Have you checked the ball bearings? This sounds like a good indicator of failing bearings.

Is it possible that you do not have enough water flow to the polaris? Sometimes I have to increase flow to the polaris to get it properly running. Hope this helps:cheers:

Hold him just below the surface of the water (off the bottom of the pool) and check that all the wheels are turning... if they are, count how many revolutions they make in a minute, it's been a while since I've had a Polaris but an online manual should tell you the appropriate range and that will tell you a lot about how much water you have flowing to him. Also, check the positioning of the little jet under his tail and if it's loose or not- that helps to determine which direction he goes (including, nose down).
