My Polaris Legend is getting stuck frequently between the stools and the wall. The space between the stools and the wall is smaller than the width of the Polaris, but the cleaner wheels go up on the wall on one side and it gets itself wedged in and stuck. Will a robot cleaner be able to overcome this issue? Will it back up instead of continuing to push through until it gets stuck?

Seems to be a common problem with stools in a pool. I don't think the robots are any smarter.
Some pool stores have demo robot cleaners you can put in your pool and see how they work. That may let you see how they respond to your stools.
