The booster pump starts out strong and the Polaris 280 works fine, but after a couple of minutes, the sound of the pump changes (due to water no longer passing thru the pump, I assume), the pool return gets bubbles in the pool return and the Polaris basically dies. After a couple minutes it primes and works until the backup valve starts. As it starts to backup the pump loses prime again and repeat over and over.

If the booster pump is connected with flexible lines then check that the suction flex line has not kinked internally or is collapsing from the suction.
