Polaris 280 Tangles Itself Backing Up

the 280 was stored during the winter and when we opened the pool in APR it started tangling itself a lot when it was backing up very close to the connection in the pool wall. Bought new hose with swivels, floats and tube and matched the length with the old one but that did not fix the issue. will appreciate all help.

Is there a Youtube segment or two that can help?

Most often with the Polaris is the hose swivel and floats not being positioned as the manual describes.

Show us pics of your Polaris in the water and how the hose lays.

I find my Polaris hose tends to tangle up in the wall fitting when the water's cold. As soon as it warms up, the tube softens some and the swivels seem to work better and it doesn't tangle up until the beginning of the next season.

Does the speed of 280 is the same as last year? The manual states how many revolutions per minute the wheels should make. Also, with the hose untangled, does it go straight across the pool or moves in circles? You can find a lot of videos on YouTube.
