Polaris 280 Idler Wheel internal gear stripped

Hi - when my Polaris 280 is on, if I put much pressure on either wheel on the "2" side, the idler wheel will stop and I can hear clicking inside that sounds like the gear that turns the idler wheel is stripped. Is this a full driveshaft assembly replacement? Thanks!

There is a screw that holds the wheel on. Remove that and then remove the rubber tire and 2 wheel bearings.

Replace any bad parts.

When reinstalling the wheel, adjust the axle so that the metal drive engages with the wheel teeth properly.

Since the back wheel is not a drive wheel, you can swap the back wheel with the front wheel.
