Polaris 280 gets tangled up

Greetings
i am having issues with my Polaris 280, I have done the following
replaced leader and feeder hoses
replaced all swivels
completely rebuilt the device ( all new parts inside of sweep
water jet at 11:00 am

after about 30 min of running the hose and sweep are all tangled up
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Not an expert when it comes to Polaris stuff, but I can try. I assume you're running it with the same equipment settings you've always has, like pump speed and flow controller plates? Try playing around with those if you can. Could be too much or too little pressure getting to the unit, likely too much.

Did you cut the replacement hoses to the same length(s) as the originals? If the hoses are too long for your size pool, they will definitely get tangled.

Hose length & type are crucial. Since you used the terms leader and feeder I'm assuming you got the right hoses types & lengths for those parts. The more flexible one needs to be around the depth of the pool and connected to the cleaner, the stiffer one need to take up the remaining length so cleaner can reach furthest part of the pool from the wall fitting.
I found in cold water & new hoses that it also gets tangled, I simply put an extra swivel in-between the backup valve and cleaner and that stops it getting tangled. Remove the swivel when the water is warmer or hoses become more flexible after a few months.
