You could put a valve there but I would run it with the valve open to both returns.
One of the returns has a PVC 90* that is glued flush with the concrete. This complicates getting this fixed clean without a bunch of 90s. Any solutions I might not know about?

Looks like the solar return runs along the ground. Will take some 90's to get the solar return and the SWG return to the same level to tie into a valve.
Hello, wanted to post a long overdue update. Ended up having the PB’s Pentair guy come and get me all setup. We added an extra valve for the return. Ended up having to use one of those inside slip fittings since the 90 was flush with the concrete. Seems to be working, I don’t actuate the deep water returns much, side ones seem to do fine.
