Hi,

When filter is turned on.
I see water leaking from the circled pipe going upward and under the pump.
Please let me know if this is something I can fix or I would have to hire someone.

Your response is greatly appreciated. Thank you

If this is a new leak then my bet is that the saddle clamp (black clamp with plug on it) has started to leak. It is dripping down and around the pump. You can turn off the pump and remove that clamp to check the seal or replace it all.

What is that silver pipe clamp wrapped around on the back side? Is that just on the PVC or is it going around to a support piece. May a photo from that backside would help.

Thank you for the prompt reply.
1. Is the circle part the saddle clamp you are referring to that may have a leak?
2. I have upload images of the otherside ( the clamp looks like it was for a pipe input, looks like it's sealed)
Do you know how I can stop the leak from the PVC?

Thank you

Where did your motor go?
Red circle is a drain plug.
On the vertical pipe, after the valve, going up, is a coupler, a worm clamp blocking an old chlorinator fitting, then the saddle clamp with a white plug in it. It looks like the saddle clamp is leaking. That whole section of PVC should be cut out and replaced.

Those 2 pipe clamps (1 black and 1 silver) on the vertical pipe are the most likely place for a leak.
You can test by wrapping a paper towel around the pipe below each clamp and see if it becomes wet.

I got everything fixed. Thank you guys for pointing out some of the spots.
Basically I fixed the following. (I think some of the parts are too old and they are worn out)

1. hayward chlorinator saddle clamp replaced.
2. hayward pump - gaskets, shaft seal, and the whole kit replaced.

Hopefully that fixed all the leak.
