Hi everyone, first post here. Why did I get a pool !? Haha .
I put the pool in last nov( new pool owner ) and my water has always been crystal clear, only using borax, Baking soda and chlorine. I’m a nut when it comes to cleaning it ,I love to manually vacumm and swim around while doing so.
I just had the concrete done around the pool ( that was a nightmare ). It’s been about 12 days and it will not clear up, my ph/ alk / chlorine are good, it’s like fine dust particles , I’ll clean it one day then in 24 hrs there’s more “dust “ settled” on the steps.
After the concrete job it took me 2 days to clean the bottom it was full of pieces of concrete/ rocks and ALOT of dirt/ dust. I spent days manually vacumming and scrubbing. The pool is clean but the water is not clear , it’s foggy / dusty/greenish/ brown. I can see the robot on bottom but can’t see anything else ( the floor etc , even with goggles you can barely see underwater )
- They did dry saw cuts … so use your imagination, said I didn’t need the pool covered
I wish I did.
-I keep backwashing( thankfully it’s raining good so I’m not wasting water on a well).
-I haven’t used any chemicals etc , I was hoping 24/7 filter would clear it but it seems the fine dust particles are cycling through the sand filter.
-My filter / pump are new , new sand etc as of this season, everything is new.
-I ordered some of those skimmer filters I’ll use those this week when I get them.
Any suggestions ? I’ve seen FLOC ? never used it however… idk how to clear this up!?
