Platform for kids??

@Mebunkeryou
Sorry for delayed response, was out of town and unplugged from the internet.

I ended up using JB Weld, something like this:

It has held up well, though there were always a few spots that will need re-attaching periodically. They also make a water weld kind of stick or putty type of product which I tried, but found it harder to work with than what I linked above over such a large area.

For the shelf liner, yes, exactly what you described and are thinking. I gave a light sanding to the bottom of the platforms to rough up the surface and spread the JB Weld, then pulled the shelf liner over the area doing a section at a time. Flip over and put something with a little weight on top if you want. Once dry, I trimmed the shelf liner with a razor.

Hope this isn't too late to help, please post a pic of the finished product in use!

In case this helps... being out of town I had them out of the pool. I only use 2-3 these days as kids are older so some are in disrepair.

Awesome idea, thank you both for posting it and continuing to keep the thread current. Will be building a set of these for our little swimmer monkeys.
