Plaster Question

Yes, I know, I’m fixated with my 9 month old pool plaster. I’m draining a little water out of the pool to expedite balancing the chemistry, and thought I’d snap a photo .

The water has been off the plaster for about 3 hours and that’s what it looks like. Now, I’m going to rub my hand back and forth about 5 times on the plaster.



So there’s my hand with dust of some kind on it. I brushed the pool two days ago. Do the photos look normal to the experts?

Could be salt or calcium left after the water on the sides evaporated.

What test kit do you use?

I’ve SLAMd the pool for the last few days so the pH was not going to be accurate.

CH 375
CYA almost zero (indoor pool) but I’m in the process of bringing it up to 30
Temp 86
I’m using a new TF 100 with a speed stirrer

Finish with your SLAM Process and get back to your normal water chemistry and then post it here and calculate your CSI with PoolMath

A 9 month old pool is probably still having some surface plaster activity (mine is still going at almost 18 months). I wouldn't wory about it, though.
