Store never said not to use bleach, just the manual.Please note that household plain bleach is the *exact same chemical as pool store "liquid chlorine""* The only difference is bleach tends to be slightly weaker.
The pool stores often warn folks not to use bleach as they lose the sale of chlorine products.
Walmart plain bleach seems to be the best deal around right now..... one gallon of 6% for something like 1.77?

Thank you all. The only thing I've ever added was chlorine and in the beginning, some baking soda. Nothing more. Oh and tablets in the floAter. Here are my test results. CYA is 4![]()
