Ph testing

I had the same problem. I don't think I am actually colour blind, never had a problem passing these colour blindness tests with the dots. But I am certainly colour challenged in the reds. In a pH test, anything between 7.4 and 7.8 looks the same to me. Not good enough for my liking.

I am now using an Apera PH60 meter, very happy with that. Takes some time to get used to it and to learn how long it takes until you can take the reading. I always store the sensor in storage solution, otherwise the time until the reading stabilises will creep up and you might have to calibrate more often.

I always verify the calibration with a buffer solution before each pool water test. The actual calibration is only required every couple of weeks.

Don't bother with the real cheap ones.

I preferred the PH60 over the PH20 because you can replace the sensor. And I like having two digits precision. Not that I really trust a reading on two digits, but it gives me a better confidence that the reading is stable.
