pH target vs. ideal?

We've suddenly had a lot of rain here lately and with the Taylor K-2006 kit I show:
pH 7.3
TA 150
FC 5.5 but just added liquid chlorine to raise to 6+
CC 0
CYA 50
CH 110
Should I add the suggested amount of Borax or point the return jet up to aerate to try and raise the pH, or leave it alone? The PoolMath app says pH is in the safe range but not ideal range. I'm not sure how important it is to get in the ideal range?

And if I go the aeration route, I assume the solar cover needs to be off...how long would it take for that to work?

I saw at least 1 thread here where a commenter said a target number for TA isn't necessary for a pool with vinyl liner, so I guess I don't need to worry about the alkalinity?

pH of 7.3 with a TA of 150 is fine.

Don't touch anything.

Any pH in the 7's is good. 7.3 is as good as 7.8

With a TA of 150 your pH will rise naturally.

Leave it alone. Unless pH is below 7, you have no need for Borax.

Just enjoy the pool, and keep your normal routine. Use the cover, pH rise will slow as a result. Any pH in the 7s requires no adjustment with chemicals or aeration.

The only impact of a high TA is that pH will rise faster when TA is high. Manage your pH to keep it in the 7s.
