My PH went from red to orange. Attached our photos of today’s color and my test results.

I’ve done a lot of reading and am stumped. Here’s where I’m at…

- Finished a SLAM last week
- Added approximately 5 cups of muriatic acid since SLAM ended to bring down
- My reagent is not expired, it’s good until 2/2025
- I confirmed that I’m using the right reagent

Should I keep adding MA? Is this color an indicator of high PH?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Your pH is in the low 7's. Use one less drop of reagent and the colors should be easier to match. Always use a white background also.

Thank you! It was high and I added a little more acid than pool math suggested so now I have to it back.

Here is a pic, with a white background and four drops. It’s looking like 7.4, would you agree? We are supposed to get a lot of rain this afternoon. Should I just let it be as rain will increase the ph?IMG_6432.jpeg
