Quick question:
this year I’ve left my pool open longer than normal. Not to swim but just haven’t closed yet. The water temp is down to 55.
During the pool season my pH drifts up pretty quickly and I constantly have to bring down with acid. It’s not surprising as my SWG is at 40% and I have a spillover from my spa.
The last month or so though my pH has been pretty steady and I haven’t had to add much acid. The last 2 weeks it’s held at 7.7 without me doing anything. One factor is the SWG is at 10% now with the low temps and no one swimming. Can this explain why pH has held steady? Or is the temp of the water? Or is the colorimetric test effected by the water temp? Just curious what it might be.
