Ph high - can we swim?

Hi all! I had a low ph and used the pool calculator to determine that I needed to add some Borax. I was in a rush and "guestimated" the amount of Borax. Now my ph is 8 (or perhaps higher - it is a very bright 8.0) I plan on measuring this time - 20 ounces of muriatic acid. Two questions:
1. How soon after adding the muriatic acid can we swim?
2. Can we swim with a ph of 8+?

You can swim in it, just might be a little irritating to sensitive eyes. I add MA and swim 30 minutes afterwards. Pump running of course and poured slowly in front of a return.
