PH continually creeps up

My PH levels increase by about .2 per day unless I actively bring it down.

I’m using liquid chlorine, not granules. The water doesn’t have any unnatural aeration, other than filtering and swimming. And the water is clear and CC is either 0 or .5 each time I measure so it’s not clear there is an algae outbreak. Is battling high PH all the time normal? What could be causes here?

Attached my latest test results, and a recent pic so you can see water clarity (it’s not best pic but the steps/shadows clearly visible).

Let the pH rise to 8 before adjusting to 7.6.

Do you add fill water often? What is the TA of that fill water?

Thanks for the replies - @mknauss and @scottts, the only water that's been added since open is rainwater, I will test the rain's PH & TA next time it rains.

I test PH and chlorine daily, and the PH creeps up even when there has been no rain for days, so would that mean there is another factor at work? I don't mind adding acid frequently as long as it doesn't indicate there is some other problem that needs addressed...

Thanks again

Well rain TA should be basically 0 so that's not it. Its fiberglass so it's not young gunite. Maybe your initial fill water was high TA and your acid additions are dropping it. When it gets to about 50-60 acid use should drop.

Acid use is just a fact of life for me but I'm in the desert. I'm not familiar with OH water properties.
