Pentair wall fitting came apart. What type of glue does it need?

The quick connect part of the wall fitting for my Legend came apart. The hose connector (top) separated from the body (quick connect side). My first thought was to use PVC primer and glue, but not sure that's right.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Or can someone tell me which materials the parts are made of so I can find the right glue.

I'm talking about Pentair part EW22, like this one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Pentair-EW22-Complete-Replacement-Automatic/dp/B004VU8VGK. In that picture you can see the body and top are different colors. Those are the parts that separated.

If the fittings still slip together with some minor resistance then PVC primer/glue will work.

I would use an all purpose glue for PVC, CPVC, ABS, etc.. That way you know you'll have a compatible cement.

I have a Pentair Racer and the wall fitting came apart. I used what I had handy, shoe repair glue. It smells like the glue we used to make model airplanes with. It worked !!! I think this is it, not able to look at the moment.
