Came home from vacation across the state to a pool not working.

Display indicating no communication from panel to pump. Tried to manually turn pump on and when it primes, motor does not kick on and results in the could not prime error. Big lightning storm happened. We have surge protection at the main panel but not at the pool subpanel. To me, what's weird is Commnication is lost along with the motor not starting. Anyone seen this? recomendations?

Welcome to the forum.
Did you put your automation into Service Mode? What does the pump screen say when you do?

Welcome to TFP! Another thought ..... try using a volt meter to confirm the motor is receiving the proper voltage (i.e. 240V). You should be able to remove the access panel where the power hot legs go into the unit to test. If you confirm the pump is receiving 240V, then perhaps it took a kit from the storm as you suspected. Or, test the voltage at the service panel as well to see if something happened on that end.
