I have an 8 month old pump that keeps giving me an error code of 0021. When I turn it on it tries to prime, displaying 3450. I can hear some faint clicking coming from the motor. Once in a while the pump will turn on for a few seconds then turn off. Yesterday I ran the pump for 9 hours as I had added some conditioner. Today when I came home the number 0 was on the display so I pressed it. No luck, the error code came back. I have checked all of the electrical connections, reseated the 4 pin mini-connector on the control panel and recycled power. Does anybody have some ideas or suggestions?

3450 is the priming RPM, not an error code.
0 is likely the RPM at the time.

Pentair makes several different VS pumps... Which specific pump do you have??
Is the pump being controlled by an automation system or is it a standalone pump?
Is it connected to constant AC power or are you using a timer of some kind?
