had our pump installed about a year ago, noticed recently that when the pump reaches the 3rd step, it doesn't go back to step 1 once the hours have completed... I can press step 1 and it starts... thoughts?
Are you using the default schedule? If so, steps 1, 2, 3 run for 14 hours total, and then the pump shuts off. Step one will start again the next morning, at 8:00AM. If you have changed to a custom schedule, check to see if you have an OFF cycle between step 3 and step 1.
Thanks for response, I have a custom schedule... yesterday i went home and turned the main power off (switch) let it sit for about 10 mins and reset all 3 steps... will see tonight if that helped.
i actually turned it off and let it sit for about 10 mins and restarted with step 1, all is working now. (All 3 equal 24 hrs). Thanks for the comments.
I have 2 one year old StaRites, I was thinking of purchasing the Pentair variable speed to replace them.
Am I wasting money or will they pay for themselves in a couple of years with the electricity savings.
Could I ever sell the pumps I have?
I ran them 24 hours for the first 7 days opening then 12 hours per day after. I am going to track the electricity cost and go from there.
Thanks for the reply.
