My spa heat is set to shut off automatically after two hours, but we’ve had so many power outages I want to make sure it is. When I look under SPA on the app, The heater icon is green and it reads that the last temp is 101 and it is set to 101. Does this mean the heat is running? Or does this mean that the last read was 101. The SPA icon is white and not green. Does the heat only run if theSPA icon is green? If I shut off the heat from the app, is someone at the house still able to turn it on with the physical spa remote, or am I overriding them? We have the mode on the actual system set to auto. Essentially I want to make sure that anyone using the spa is able to turn the heat and jets on and off but that it does not stay on for extended periods of time. Thank you!

Welcome to TFP.

There is a difference between the heat being ON and the heater RUNNING.

When the spa is ON and the heater is ON the heater is enabled and will run if the water temperature drops below the heater setpoint.

You enable the heater by turning it ON.

You cause the heater to run and generate heat by raising the setpoint above the water temperature.

What model heater are we discussing?
