A friend of mine has a 3 halogen Pentair SAL lights in his pool. They are about 15 years old and no longer work. He bought LED boards to replace the lights. I installed them by tapping into a halogen bulb socket to get the 12v needed for the led board. Well now when the old SAL light cycles, the Pentair system also cycles and moves power from one bulb to the next, which I was able to get past, but it also get to a pattern where the voltage is reduced to dim the old halogen bulbs. Well this causes the LED boards to flicker and turn off. He has the Pentair Easy Touch system. I am having trouble finding wiring diagrams online. Can anyone tell me if the light pattern from the SAL light is controlled by the Easy Touch system, or is that controlled inside the SAL light itself? I am trying to figure out how to get steady power with on/ off only to the lights. Thanks.

Did you tell the EasyTouch it is not a SAL color changing light and is a plain white light?
No. I'm not very familiar with the Easy Touch system but I found a manual and will give it a shot. Thanks
