Pentair Pump valve?

I have pentair pump and I would like to add a valve from skimmer pipe/hose to to the pump. So I can clean out the basket on the pump. Would this work "Pentair 2 Way PVC Valve 1.5" X 2" P/N 263038". its 2" hose that I have.

Yes it is. I cleaned it for first time the other day and found out with pump lower than the skimmer and how fun that was.

Plug your returns at the pool. Depending on size you can use a carrot, potato, or buy some plugs.
