Pentair MiniMax NT has a mind of its own!

My Pentair Mini Max NT will just start up whenever it wants. I will come out to my pool in the morning and find it steaming because it turned on all by itself. The Screen Logic Ap and on the PC will show it as off but it's cooking away all on its own. I keep the breaker and gas valve off to control it because I never know when it will strike next. Any ideas? Thanks.

Check the 2 wire connection between the EasyTouch panel and the heater for any shorting, cracked insulation, melted insulation, or signs of critters chewing on the wire. The wires have to be connected for the heater to run.

The wire should be 18 gauge wire with a minimum 3/64” (1.2mm) thick insulation rated for a temperature rise of at least 105°C. The area the wire passes through can get hot and melt wire insulation.
